What this is
This is a private, self-hosted installation of Waffled, an open-source family organiser. It runs on hardware operated by this household and is used by the members of that household only. It is not a commercial service and is not open to public sign-up.
What it does
- A shared household calendar, viewable on a kitchen display, the web and iOS
- Chores, meal planning, shopping and to-do lists
- Optional two-way synchronisation with a household member's own Google Calendar, connected individually and only with that person's consent
Google Calendar access
Where a household member chooses to connect their Google Calendar, this installation reads their calendar events so they appear alongside the household's own, and writes back only the events created here. Access is granted by that person through Google's standard consent screen and can be withdrawn by them at any time from their Google account permissions page.
